Pipe Flaring is a type of forging operation, and is usually a cold working procedure.
Pipe flaring is the process through which we can expand the outside diameter of end of the pipe without disturbing the actual diameter of the whole pipe.
The pipe is placed inside the dye which then closes and the punch hole which has bigger diameter is inserted into the pipe and the flaring process is complete.
In pipe swaging one piece of tubing is inserted to a specific depth in the swager before it is reduced to the precise diameter required. At that point, the component can undergo secondary operations such as drilling, drawing, or tapping. Fluid control tubes, as well as aerospace tube components, are formed using this technique.
